On a gem buying trip to the island nation of Madagascar, jewelry artist Naomi Sarna discovered an intriguing piece of Dendritic Quartz. She hand carved the stone with her signature flowing curves that shift the way we see the inner life of the stone. The flecks inside the stone, caused by the presence of iron or manganese, are reminiscent of a late afternoon tropical rain storm.
