Matrix Opal Ring

A fabulous blaze of color emerges from this Mexican Fire Opal set in an 18-karat Gold ring. Naomi Sarna carved through the matrix of this Fire Opal from the La Purla Mine, where some of the finest Opals in Mexico were discovered, to reveal the brilliant colors in the stone. The mine closed recently, making these opals even more scarce. The cocktail ring style, which can be worn just as easily to a weekend brunch as an evening event, is accented with orangey-brown Diamonds and green Tsavorite Garnets that capture the hues in the 6-carat Opal. The Gold features Sarna’s unique moiré finish, which enhances the Opal’s glow.
