The NAOMI SARNA DESIGNS website is available at www.naomisarnadesigns.com (“NSD”) and is owned and operated by NSD (“us” “we” or “our”). This NSD privacy policy (the “Privacy Policy”) is intended to inform you of our policies and practices regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of any information you submit to us through NSD. This includes “Personal Information,” which is information about you that is personally identifiable such as your name, e-mail address, user ID number, payment information, and other non-public information that is associated with the foregoing, as well as “Anonymous Information,” which is information that is not associated with or linked to your Personal Information and does not permit the identification of individual persons.

NSD is comprised of owners, employees and independent contractors who come in contact or process private data.

Regarding Children

Children under the age of 13 are not permitted to use NSD and we do not intentionally collect or maintain Personal Information from those who are under 13 years old. In general, we collect Personal Information that you submit to us voluntarily through NSD. We also collect information that you submit in the process of creating or editing your account and user profile on NSD. For example, our registration and login process requires you to provide us with your name, valid email address, and password of your choice. When you personalize your profile and use the features of NSD, we will collect any information you voluntarily provide, and we may also request optional information to support your use of NSD, such as your year of birth, gender, and other demographic information. We collect information in the form of the content that you submit during your use of NSD, such as photos, comments, contact forms, ratings and other information you choose to submit. We may also collect information about you and your friends, from any social network you may have connected from, in order to provide you with a more personalized experience. For instance, we may collect your user ID or profile information that you have permitted to be displayed through NSD in order to display you as a friend or in association with your profile and collections. When you order our products or services, you will need to submit your credit card or other payment information so that our service providers can process your payment for those products and services. If you choose to sign up to receive information about products or services that may be of interest to you, we will collect your email address and all related information. Additionally, we collect any information that you voluntarily enter, including Personal Information, into any postings, comments, or forums within the NSD community.

Personal Information from Other Sources

We may receive Personal Information about you from other sources with which you have registered, companies who we have partnered with (collectively, “Partners”) or other third parties. We may associate this information with the other Personal Information we have collected about you.

E-mail and E-mail Addresses

If you send an e-mail to us, or fill out our “Feedback” form through NSD, we will collect your e-mail address and the full content of your e-mail, including attached files, and other information you provide. We may use and display your full name and email address when you send an email notification to a friend through NSD or the social network from which you have connected to NSD (such as in an invitation, or when sharing your content). Additionally, we use your email address to contact you on behalf of your friends (such as when someone sends you a personal message) or notifications from a social network or other website with whom you have registered to receive such notifications. We may use this e-mail address to contact you, for things such as notifications of limited edition shop sales and other related information. You may indicate your preference to stop receiving further promotional communications as further detailed below.

Information Collected Via Technology

As you use NSD, certain information may also be passively collected and stored on our or our service providers’ server logs, including your Internet protocol address, browser type, and operating system. We also use Cookies and navigational data like Uniform Resource Locators (URL) to gather information regarding the date and time of your visit and the solutions and information for which you searched and viewed, or on which of the advertisements displayed on NSD you clicked. This type of information is collected to make NSD and solutions more useful to you and to tailor the experience with NSD to meet your special interests and needs.

IP Addresses

An “Internet protocol address” or “IP Address” is a number that is automatically assigned to your computer when you use the Internet. In some cases your IP Address stays the same from browser session to browser session; but if you use a consumer internet access provider, your IP Address probably varies from session to session. For example, we, or our service providers, may track your IP Address when you access NSD to assist with ad targeting.

Cookies

“Cookies” are small pieces of information that a website sends to your computer’s browser and hard drive while you are viewing a website. We may use both session Cookies (which expire once you close your web browser) and persistent Cookies (which stay on your computer until you delete them) to provide you with a more personal and interactive experience with NSD. Blog or Products Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Image Uploads

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Contact Forms and Emails

We keep contact form submissions indefinitely for customer service purposes. The information submitted through them is not used for marketing purposes unless indicated by the user.

We share information with third parties who help us provide our orders and store services to you; for example UPS, FedEx, USPS, DHL, PayPal, MasterCard, Visa, and American Express.

We accept payments through PayPal. When processing payments, some of your data will be passed to PayPal, including information required to process or support the payment, such as the purchase total and billing information.

How Low We Retain Your Data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

NSD may contain links to other websites. Please be aware that we are not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such other websites. We are committed to protecting the security of your Personal Information. We use a variety of industry-standard security technologies and procedures to help protect your Personal Information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. Our website uses specialist security software – Shield Security. This helps to ensure data breaches do not occur and our website and data are protected against hacking attempts and intrusion.

Cookies related to security

1. The Shield Security plugin never stores any sensitive, personally identifiable information in any cookie at any time.
2. In the case that the Shield Security plugin needs to redirect a visitor or any request, it may use a cookie to prevent repeated/infinite redirect loops.
3. For registered/logged-in users, the Shield Security plugin uses a cookie to track user sessions and control display of certain in-plugin admin notices.
4. The Shield Security plugin does not normally use Cookies for unregistered site visitors. It may however use a cookie to register the closure of the Shield Security security badge to prevent repeated display.
